I have been reflecting on making a page for "MY AIRMAN" since my husband of 31 years will soon be retiring from his part time career as a Reservist.
He is retiring after 13 years with the rank of Capt.
So I am sending this Tribute to My Airman:
At the age of 26 you took on the role of father to a little 5 year old boy, adopting him legally and you have never looked back he was your son as surely as the sons you would father biologically. Much later you would "emotionally" adopt another of my sons , grown now with a family of his own, you love them equally and have been SO blessed by the grandchildren they have given you and I know you love them deeply. When your biological children were born you loved them and raised them to be wonderful men as well and they all have the highest respect for you, and I must mention their spouses that we love as our own daughters show the same respect, and the granddaughters and neices and nephew that call you Papa all love and admire you!
Our home is a refuge to our family thanks to the loving, caring, and respect shown by you.
You are one of three men in my life that I have loved and respected, your Dad being one of them and you have patterned yourself after him. A kind , gentle man that I loved like my own father. I use the word RESPECT often and not lightly because I think that in combination with love and a Godly home , a better foundation cannot be built.
Behind closed doors you treat me like a "Duchess" as you like to call me, and you have dedicated your life to God and family, providing for us financially, physically, spiritually and emotionally. I have lacked NOTHING in our relationship .
God put us together almost 34 years ago and we try to keep Him the center of our Lives and our marriage and He has blessed us abundantly.
I could go on for pages but I will end by saluting "My Airman" My Hero and say I Love You and will until Eternity!
Jan xoxo
